I've been doing photography ever since childhood, but became "serious" in 1990 when I bought an SLR (single lens reflex) camera, a Canon EOS600, for a trip to Majorca with a group of university friends. Ever since then, I have enjoyed taking photos of friends, family and strangers and portraits of one kind or another continue to be my favourite type of photography.

I have a small collection of vintage medium format cameras, mostly twin lens reflex cameras, like the Rollieflex E2 f2.8 and Yashica Mat 124G. I acquired these in the early 2000s and overall, prices seem to have increased since then. They all still work perfectly and draw a lot of attention (the good kind) when out and about taking photos with them.

However, for convenience, I mainly shoot digital these days with my Leica Q2. It’s a very expensive camera with a fixed, 28mm f1.7 lens, but I find it simplifies my life without the stress of having to decide which lenses to carry and to use, especially when going on trips.

I will be sharing my pictures here on this site in blog form as well as on my YouTube channel for those of you who prefer watching videos instead of reading. On the YouTube channel I will also share some tips on how I shoot in terms of settings and equipment as well as how I approach street photography.

You can also find me on Medium where I write on a variety of topics.
